thought were "veins of salt", and he lays
down the course by which they travelled
from Prospect Hill, to those veins.

SW by S 13 miles
SSW 5 miles then the salt.

What I want to know is the nature
of the country which now exists at
the above supposed salt spot:
and as it cannot be far from Camden
I dare say your young men
could pronounce at once without
further examination.

I shall be very grateful for
what they may tell me.

Hunter's people could have
mistaken for salt, for I suppose
