text. I hope by elision and
condensation to prevent the
new edition from exceeding
the first in bulk. Lecky writing
from England suggests that I
should bring out the new edn in
cabinet form, and I incline to
do so, as a volume of octavo is
rather unwieldy to handle or
to put in a hand bag.
