Good principles & Christian hearts
are the only safeguards anywhere.

What you say about your Camden
additions interests me much, and
if I live I hope to see you presiding
again where so long ago I saw
your good father acting the honoured
head of his household.

It was sad to hear of my good old
friend Macleays apparently sudden
death, but I think that for several
years he had thought his life most
precarious. As you justly say - we
are all rapidly hastening to the same
bourne. Happy those who have on the
farther shore expectant happy friends.

The Camden papers with which you have
been busy must have passed through
my hands in Camden long ago: but those
which were private were of course unread
or unmarked. A quick reader discovers at
a glance what he requires, and discards all
else as if it had not been ever seen.

Kindest regards to Jamie, Libby & all
Yours ever sincerely
G W Rusden
