P.S. On looking over my letter
I find I have said nothing about
my literary work. My New Zealand
is finished as far as my part in it
is concerned and will be out
in a day or two, if not out already.
I am now preparing the Australia
for the printer's hands. I have
a good deal to say about
John Macarthur. Tell Jamie that
I hope he will be pleased with
what I say of his great grandfather.
He was great in more than one
sense. If I had anything to
do with the disposal of copies
I would send one to Jamie
as well as to Philip King: if
only out of gratitude for the
help I obtained from the Mss
at Camden & at Banksia.
But the publishers have all
these matters in their hands:
