Dear Onslow

After returning from a short trip
to the Gipps Land Lakes with John
King I found your letter of 20 April.

I am sorry to hear of your accident
but glad to find that no serious
harm was sustained, though there
really might have been.

I ought to feel the more indebted
to you for your kindness in sending
me the list of subscribers,
which you have been the first
to do. As to the cost, it is of
course impossible to state accurately
what it will be.

As far as I am concerned I
am looking to no profit and the Book
will be sold at the absolute cost
of printing. This is of course
all that I have power to do,
and no one could do more, nor
do I suppose that any one would
wish me to try to do more.
