I should think that a visit
somewhere would be a good thing
for Mrs Onslow. If such a thing
be impracticable let me advise
that some lady friend whom she
loves and respects might be
asked to visit her. It is
far better to be constrained
by necessary attentions even if
they seem irksome than to
nurse one's thoughts.
My kindest regards also to
Sir William.
I write this at Mr W. Campbell's
house where I have a few
minutes delay before accompanying
him to the funeral of
Mr Highett recently a member
of the Legislative Council
and an old friend of Campbells.
These are the inevitable
consequences of even a
