Protector of Aborigines,
B R I S B A N E.

Sir.-

Recently a new stopping place has been provided between
[Dinmore] and [Bundamba] and was named "St. Helens", but the Under-
Secretary of the Lands Department takes exception to this and
points out there are three cattle stations of this name in
Queensland, also places in Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand,
and it is suggested as an alternative that an aboriginal name
be given this place, and I shall be glad if you could assist me
in the matter as apparently the Station Masters, [Dinmore] and
[Bundamba], cannot suggest a suitable aboriginal name.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours faithfullyx,
[I? G. Brown]
