Engineer in Charge of Construction Office,
Chief Engineers Office

Brisbane, 25th September 1914.

Asking for an aboriginal name for a station
situated in iron bark forest country.

S i r ,

I have to advise that a suitable Aboritinal
name is required for the station at 2m.69chs. on the
[Munbilla]-[Mt. Edwards] Line, and I shall be glad if you
will forward me two or three from which one can be
chosen. The surrounding country is ironbark forest.

I may say that one name suggested is "Urara",
but this is considered to be too much like "Urana",
the name of a town and post office in New South Wales.

I shall be glad to hear from you at your earliest
convenience.

I am, S i r,
Yours faithfully,
[R E Sexton]
Engineer in Charge of
Construction.
