Mr. J.J. McSwain
Greenville, S.C.

Dear Mr. McSwain:

Upon receipt of your letter of August 24th asking that we
send you a rock or stone about 10" square and an inch or so thick
to be used by the Rotary Club and the Y.M.C.A. of Greenville, in
building a rock lodge for a boys' camp in the mountains of that
section, We[annotated] stook up the matter of securing a suitable stone for
you and have forwarded to you by express, charges collect, a stone
found at the foot of Yosemite Falls. As you know Yosemite Falls
has a total drop of approximately 2600 feet, the first fall is 1340
feet, then there are a series of cascades and the lower fall is 320
feet.

I hope that this stone will be received in good condition and
will find a prominent place in the wall of your new building.

Very truly, yours,
