CITY OF FORT WORTH. }

On this 24th day of July, 1903, the Finance Committee met in the
office of the Mayor, in the City Hall of Fort Worth, in
response to the call of the chairman, and there were present W. G.
Newby and J. F. Henderson, members of the said Committee, T. J. Powell,
Mayor, and E.C. Orrick, City Attorney, at which meeting the following
resolution was adopted:

Resolved, That W. W. Wilkinson, Assistant City Attorney in charge
of the collection of back taxes, be and is hereby instructed to proceed
at once to judgment and sale in all suits now pending for the fore-
closure of tax liens on behalf of the city, and that suit be at once
instituted on all delinquent taxes for the year 1901 and all years
prior thereto to foreclose in a legal manner all such taxes, and that
said suits when filed be pressed to judgment and sale without any
delay.

Be it Further Resolved, That it is the sense of this Committee
that no delay be had in proceedings as herein directed, and that the
said Assistant City Attorney proceed to collect in the manner herein-
before pointed out, all of the delinquent taxes due the city without
any exception and without any delay.
