Gerald Mason Cathey, Assistant Professor, School of Dentistry, is recommended lor leave without salary, from August 31, 1964 to July 1, 1966, in order that he may pursue graduate work at the University of Washington.

Siegfried Wenzel, Assistant Professor, Department of English, is recommended tor leave, with partial salary of $1200, beginning September 1, 1964, for one year, to accept a grant from the American Council of Learned Societies to complete a book on Medieval Literature in England.

William Leon Wiley, Kenan Professor, Department of Romance Languages, is recommended tor leave, without salary, July 1, 1964, through Fall semester 1964-65, to accept a Visiting Professorship at Brown University.

Stephen Baxter, Associate Professor, Department of History, is recommended lor leave with salary, Spring semester 1965, to complete a manuscript for publication.

Elisha Douglass, Associate Professor, Department of History, is recommended tor a leave of absence with salary, Fall semester 1964, to complete a manuscript for publication.

John Marsden Ehle, Associate Professor, Radio, Television and Motion Pictures, resigns September 1, 1964 while on leave, to continue in his position in the Governor's office.

Herbert William Fred, Associate Professor, Department of Music, resigns September 1, 19b4, to accept a faculty post at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Charles Henderson, Jr., Associate Professor, Department of Classics, resigns September 1, 1964, to accept a faculty post at Smith College.

Robert Ross Holloway, Assistant Professor, Department of Classics, resigns September 1, 1964, to accept a faculty post at Brown University.

Bryant William Fitzgerald, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, resigns August 31, 1964, to accept a position at Montana State University.

Lawrence Dale Mann, Assistant Professor, Department of City and Regional Planning resigns August 31, 1964 to accept a Ford Foundation assignment with the Chilean Government.

Cancellation of Appointment

James Herbert Taylor, appointed to the faculty for the Department of Botany (approved May meeting 1963) did not accept a National Institute of Health Research Career Grant and will not join our faculty.
