WHEREAS, the City will require a narrow strip of land belonging to this campus along the south side of West Market Street consisting of 0.176 of an acre to enable it to carry out this project; and

WHEREAS, this project will require relocating an existing sanitary sewer line belonging to the City of Greensboro for which it was granted a right-of-way a number of years ago;, and

WHEREAS, the City of Greensboro has agreed to pay to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro the sum of Two-Thousand Seven-Hundred and Eighty-four Dollars and Eighty-five cents ($2,784.85) as fair compensation for the land described as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Committee that the President of the University, or his designated representative is hereby authorized to submit a request to the North Carolina Department of Administration for the sale of said property, and the relocation of the right-of-way for a sanitary sewer line, at the price indicated above, or at a price acceptable to said Department of Administration, in accordance with the laws of North Carolina and in accordance with this resolution.

4. Request for approval of proposed demolition of certain old facilities on the campus of the University at Greensboro

President Friday presented a request on behalf of the administration of the University at Greensboro for approval to demolish the following buildings on that campus:

1. Woman's and Kirkland Dormitories
2. Old Infirmary
3. Old Television Studio
4. Outdoor gymnasium
5. Two residences
6. Dean of Student's Residence

President Friday stated that the demolition of the above buildings has the approval of the President and Business Officer and Treasurer and of the Trustees' Committee on Real Estate.

It is not anticipated that these facilities will be torn down simultaneously. However, planning for future development of the campus involves the removal of these buildings and cannot be perfected without the necessary approvals. It is pointed out that upon approval by the Executive Committee, the request is subject to review by the State Department of Administration and approval of the Governor and Council of State.

Mrs. Burgwyn moved that the demolition of the buildings listed above be approved. The motion was seconded and it was adopted.

5. Request for approval of possible sale of approximately 64 acres of Horace Williams Airport tract belonging to the University at Chapel Hill

The Chapel Hill City Schools are interested in procuring a Site for a new senior high school. It seems possible, if not probable, that they may be able to dispose of their West Franklin Street properties. As a possible site they have chosen a tract of approximately 64 acres along the northern boundary of the Horace Williams Airport property and
