"I shall soon appoint a special committee of faculty members, trustees, and alumni to advise with the President's office in choosing a successor to Chancellor Aycock."

Research Triangle Foundation and Research Triangle Institute

President Friday presented recommendations for reappointment of Mr. George Watts Hill and Mr. Thomas J. Pearsall as Directors of the Research Foundation for a period of one year, beginning November 13, 1963, and for the reappointment of Messrs. Tom Alexander and George Watts Hill as members of the Research Triangle Institute, each for a term of one year.

The above appointments were unanimously approved.

Committee to consider change of dates for meetings of the Executive Committee

Mr. Wicker reported that his committee wished to recommend that the Executive Committee hold its meetings on the second Friday in every other month instead of the second Monday as set forth in the By-Laws of the Board, and that the next regular meeting be scheduled for the second Friday in September, 1963. Mr. Wicker moved that this change in dates be approved. The motion was seconded and it was approved, subject to ratification by the full Board.

Secretary's Note:

Due to the fact that certain Revenue Bonds of the Woman's College were advertised for sale on September 9, 1963 (the second Monday) it was found that the next meeting would have to be held on that date. Thereafter, all meetings will be on the second Friday instead of the second Monday in every other month.

The meeting then adjourned.
