Study of Proposed New Canopus of the University

President Friday discussed General Statute 116-2.1 concerning the establishment of additional campuses of the University. Mecklenburg County with its surrounding area was designated as the first site to be studied under this Statute, and the procedure to be followed is that outlined in that particular section of the Statute.

BOND RESOLUTIONS

President Friday presented the following resolutions and requested their adoption:

The University at Greensboro

A resolution entitled "RESOLUTION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AMENDING RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA ON MAY 28, 1962, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF FEBRUARY 25, 1963, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF WOMAN'S COLLEGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA DORMITORY SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS OF 1962" was presented and Mr. Bryant moved that it be adopted. The motion was seconded by Mr. Umstead, and the resolution was adopted by all members present voting for its adoption; those voting "Nay": none.

The Chairman thereupon declared said resolution unanimously adopted and the secretary was instructed to record it in the minutes of the Executive Committee. The said resolution is in the following words and figures, to-wit:

RESOLUTION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

AMENDING RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA ON MAY 28, 1962, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON FEBRUARY 25, 1963, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF WOMAN'S COLLEGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA DORMITORY SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS OF 1962.

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of The University of North Carolina (hereinafter sometimes called the "Board") on May 28, 1962 duly adopted a resolution authorizing the issuance of Woman's College of the University of North Carolina Dormitory System Revenue Bonds of 1962, which resolution was amended by a resolution duly adopted by the Board on February 25, 1963 (said resolution adopted on May 28, 1962 as amended by said resolution adopted on February 25, 1963 being hereinafter called the "Bond Resolution"); and

WHEREAS, by Chapter 448, 1963 Session Laws of North Carolina, the name of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, in
