M. S. Breckenridge (not present because of scheduled examination). Mr. Breckenridge retires as Professor of Law after 36 years with the University.

Ruth M. Collings (not present) Dr. Collings, the Woman's College Physician, retires as Professor of Health with 38 years of service to the College.

Stephen A. Emery (Dr. Emery now resides in Texas and is unable to be with us today). Dr. Emery retired at the end of February of this year as Professor of Philosophy at Chapel Hill after 34 1/2 years' service.

K. B. Glenn (not present) Mr. Glenn retires as Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering after 33 1/2 years at State College.

J. Penrose Harland (not present) Dr. Harland will retire as Professor of Archaeology at Chapel Hill with 37 years of service.

L. R. Harrill (present) Mr. Harrill, who has served State College and the State for 41 years, retires as State 4-H Leader. (Mrs. Harrill also present).

Arthur Palmer Hudson (not present) Dr. Hudson retires as Kenan Professor of English at the University in Chapel Hill after 33 years of service.

William D. Miller (present) Dr. Miller has served State College for
28 years and retires as Professor of Forest Management. (Mrs. Mille also present).

Husband-Wife Team at the Woman's College:
Mr. and Mrs. James W. Painter (present) Mr. Painter retires as Professor of English with 37 years of service, and Mrs. Painter as Instructor with 34 years of service.

Ruth I. Price (not present) Miss Price retires as Assistant Professor of Physical Education with 14 years' service at the University in Chapel Hill.

Wiley B. Sanders (present) After 38 years with the University at Chapel Hill, Dr. Sanders will retire as Professor of Sociology. He holds the record this year for the most years of service at Chapel Hill. (Mrs. Sanders also present).
