Leaves of Absence

Eugene Paschal Brantly, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering requests a leave of abshnce for one year effective July 1, 1963, in order to accept a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship.

Norwood Graham Smith, Assistant Professor of English requests a one year leave of absence, effective July 1, 1963, in order to work toward the completion of his Ph.D. degree at the University of Virginia.

Changes in Rank

Dr. H. F. Robinson resigned his position as Head of Genetics effective August 1, 1962, at which time he assumed the title of Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences, Professor of Genetics, Acting Head of Genetics, and Assistant Director of Research in the School of Agriculture.

Dr. Carey Bostian, Professor of Genetics, replaces Dr. Robinson as Acting Head of Genetics.

Dr. F. S. Barkalow resigned his position as Head of the Department of Zoology on February 18, 1963, in order to return to full-time teaching. He still holds the rank of Professor of Zoology, and on March 1, 1963, became Acting Head of Zoology.

Resignation and Leave of Absence

Dr. Harold A. Lamonds has resigned his position as Head of the Department of Nuclear Engineering effective July 1, 1963. He requests that he be granted a one year leave of absence as Professor of Nuclear Engineering, effective July 1, 1963, to gain industrial experience in his professional field.

Resignations

Dr. Homer Clifton Folks has resigned his position as Assistant Director of instruction and Associate Professor of Soils, effective June 30, 1963.

Dr. F. Eugene Hester, Assistant Professor of Zoology, resigned April 14, 1963.
