Retirements

Many years of service to the College have been given by the following members of the faculty who are recommended for retirement at the end of the current academic year. The College is deeply appreciative of the valuable contributions which have been made by these individuals. In recommending their retirement, I recommend that they be appointed to appropriate emeritus rank:

Dr. Ruth Collings, College Physician and Professor of Health, age 65, 38 years of service.

Mr. James W. Painter, Professor of English, age 67, 37 years of service.

Mrs. Kathleen S. Painter, Instructor in English, age 62, 34 years of service.

Mr. George M. Thompson, Professor of Music, age 67, 40 years of service.

Miss Virginia Trumper, Head Serials Librarian, age 65, 41 years of service.

Miss Sue Vernon Williams, Head Reference Librarian, age 66, 37 years of service.

Mr. James L. Straughan, Carpenter II, Physical Plant, will retire effective July 1, 1963.

Continuation of Service

Continuation of service on limited basis for the second semester 1962- 63 for the following who have reached age 65 is requested:

Miss Mary Harrell, age 69, Associate Professor Emeritus of Commercial Studies.

Continuation of service on full-time basis for the academic year 1963-64 for the following who have, or will have, reached at least age 65 by July 1, 1963, is requested:

Dr. Meta H. Miller, age 66, Professor of Romance Languages

Dr. Alice Schriver, age 66, Professor Health

Continuation of service on limited basis for the academic year 1963-64 for the following who have, or will have, reached at least 65 by July 1, 1963, is requested:
