Revd W Mills held morning service
Revd Mr Creed afternoon do
I went out to morning service,
Miss Holland went to evening do
The Laundress returned home to tea.
I read to the Inmates during the
evening.

Monday
3d Mrs Dawson visited whilst she
was in the building. Harriet Penketh
and Johanna Smith quarrelled about
mangling some clothes, Johanna struck
Harriet. Mrs Dawson spoke to both
the women upon the wickedness of
quarrelling.

Tuesday
4th
Miss Holland complained to me
this morning that she had more than
her share of work, and suggested
that the Laundress should assist her
to attend the gate on Saturday mornings
the Laundress superintends the washing,
[sup]besides which[sup] she folds and Irons herself three days
in the week which I mentioned to
Miss Holland and said I thought it
would not be fair to expect her to do
more, again she complained that the
Laundress omitted to sit in the Dining
room one evening this week.
The Laundress went out this evening
