Thursday 29th
Miss Holland went out this
morning, to Miss Fowler about an
advertisement for a General Servant
that we thought might answer for
Mrs Lewin. Miss Fowler however could
not recommend her to the place.
Mrs Locking called yesterday morning
to tell me Mrs Hughes had not been
home since last Thursday when she
came into town to see her sister who
is in the Infirmary. Mrs Mills visited.
Mr Bode held an evening service.

Friday 30th
I went out this morning to get Flat Irons
&c for the Laundry and pay
some money to the Treasurer. left at
10 o clock a.m. returned at 1/2 past twelve
o clock. The Laundress went out for
an hour this afternoon. Mrs White
of Auckland with the Revd ML Mrs Creed
visited. Mrs White promises to visit us
to morrow. Miss Holland went out
after her school was over this afternoon.

Saturday
Oct 1st
Miss Holland and the Laundress
went out to day. Mrs White called
and read & talked with the Inmates
for more than an hour this afternoon
Mrs Lavender [?] Jones visited. Received a
note from the Matron of Darlinghurst St to say
Ellen Scotts Sister promises to come here.
