I took Ellen Smith to the Benevolent
Asylum this morning. Miss Holland
went out for the afternoon. A new
Laundress chosen.

3rd
Mrs Knight left us to day. Mrs Barnes
came to look over the building
preparatory to her entering upon her
duties as Laundress. Miss Holland
went out this afternoon.

Sabbath
4th
Revd W. Mills held morning Service
Rev'd Mr Piddington afternoon Do
Miss Holland went out to morning
service. Mrs Gregory brought Ann Kirkby
asking for her admittance not being able
to convince Mrs G that I could not take
any one in whom she brought I sent
Miss Holland to Mrs Goodlet for her
orders respecting the case after which
Mrs Gregory took Ann away promising
to return with her on Tuesday.

5th
The New Laundress arrived between
8 and 9 o'clock this evening.
A Mrs Christie from Woolloomooloo has
brought six chemises to be made
Mr Faithful from near Goulburn called
requiring a Laundress, he was sent by
Miss Fowler.
