the Laundress was out until the
evening.

15th
Johanna Donnohue used very bad
language to the Laundress this afternoon.
Mrs. Knight told her to leave her clothes
that she was washing to mangle until
the Woman using it had finished, and
in the meantime, go to the bath tub,
and prepare some clothes for the boiler
this she refused to do, making use
of very improper, and insulting language.
I had to reprove Louisa Pilkington
this morning for swearing, I am
informed, that it is a very common
habit with her. Dr. Nathan visited.

Ladies Sub Committee Maria Leach
desired to leave this Institution
the ladies failing to persuade her
to remain expelled her.
Charlotte Stanley left us also.
Mr. Mills and Mr. Armstrong held
an evening service.

17th
The Ladies from the Good Shepherd
sent in this morning to know why
Maria Leach had left us, as she was
