11th
Dr. Nathan called to see Fanny Chapman.
Mrs. Barry called respecting her washing.
I am to send for her soiled linen next
Monday. Charlotte Stanley has been in
bed all day I was obliged to lock the
door of the room she occupied during
morning hours to prevent idleness and
gossip - Louisa Pilkington was with
Charlotte this morning and has since
expressed a desire to leave her present
occupation (attending to the Committee
and Matrons room) I have consequently
placed her in the Ironing room

12th
Lizzie Palmer was very rude and
naughty this morning refusing to do
what the Laundress and myself ordered.
I locked her in the old mangling room
for punishment, after an hours solitude
she recovered her senses and promised
to do as she was bid, since which she has
behaved very well. The Laundress went
out for an hour this evening.

13th
All the washing clothes ready to
be sent away ten o' clock this
morning. Dr. Nathan visited Fanny
Chapman. Mrs Wise and Mrs Breillat
visited. Lizzy Palmer has behaved
remarkably well to day and Johanna
Smith has improved greatly in her
temper during this week. Miss Holland
and the Laundress went out the
afternoon.
