I went out to early morning and evening

The Laundress went out for the day.

August 1st
Mrs Caldwell called on business
with the Teacher and spoke to me
upon the number of women who
were at needlework so early in the
week. We have needle work that
is required to be done immediately
and not sufficient washing to occupy
those in the Laundry after Thursday.
Maria Leach complained to Mrs Caldwell
that the Laundry women could get
only bread for breakfast when the
