July 21st
Lady Belmore called to be
present at a Dorcas Meeting, which
did not take place, her Ladyship
went round a part of the establishment
it was too wet for her to visit the school
she brought some interesting tale books
for the Inmates. Miss. Manning called
to see Mary Ann Mitchell.
The Rev Mr Bode held evening service.

22nd
Mrs J. K Campbell & Mrs Ebsworth
called about their washing I am to
send to both Ladies next Monday
for their clothes. Susan Graham
has not attempted to do any work
since Tuesday, she says she wants to
go out and will not work.
A Mr. Smithers of Grafton who has
already had two servants from this
Institution, called to know if we had
a young girl that he could take back
with him as a Servant, I told him
we had no young girl whose time of
(twelve months) had expired at present
but in another two months we might
be able to supply him with one, the
two girls he had from this place
are both of them married comfortably.

23rd
Mr. Drury moved the mangle this
morning into the folding room
the change will save much unnecessary
carrying backwards and forwards
besides which the Laundress will
