April 6th sharply to the Teacher upon Miss Holland
asking two or three of the Inmates who
were singing in the garden not to sing
so loudly. The Inmates do not take quickly
to Strangers. Mr Gully held evening service.

7th
The Inmates many of them appear very
unsettled, one of the elder ones (Kate Nolloy
is trying to make the young girls discontented
and persuading them not to work.
The poor Laundress has had a day of
trial with them. Miss Holland took
some papers to Mrs Goodet for me this
morning. Sarah Jones a young girl of
20 years of age sent by the Magistrates for
admittance. Miss Little called about
some work she had sent here some time
ago. Mrs Wait took the work away with
her. I gave Miss Little Mrs Wait's address -
to make further enquiries about it.
The Dean of Sydney held an evening Service.

8th. The Inmates complained this morning
of their tea not being good, as I weigh it
out regularly each meal I fancy it was
more a means of showing their unsettled
feelings at the present time than any
thing else. Mrs Cowper & Mrs James Manning
visited. Gentlemen's Committee this
afternoon. Mr Crane could not attend
in consequence of Mr Cloete's death.
