29th Julia Mary Chimmie applied for
admission, it was raining so heavily,
was so late, and she was so wet, that I
could not send her to any Lady of the
Committee for an order of admittance
I therefore took her in waiting their
decision on Friday next Wrote to
Mr Crane to tell him the rain was coming
in through the roof and destroying the
ceiling in one of the bedrooms.
30th
Mrs Joseph Thompson visited the
Institution and brought two nice books
for the Library. Leisure hour 1867 and
Sunday at home for the same year.
31st
Mrs Palser called to ask if we could take
her washing again. I gave her the terms
she will let us know next week when
we are to send for them. Miss Holland
took Fanny Chapman to see her Mother
who is at the point of death. Drury
called to look at the leaks.
Revd Mr Bode held an evening service.

Miss Holland appointed Teacher
Miss Mowbray leaves us to-day
The Ladies permit the Inmates to have
a piece of bread for luncheon at 11oclk
each day. I have given the Laundress
a message from the Ladies of their
approval of her careful management
