Miss. Mowbray called to ask me
to take in Miss Holland until Tuesday
to save her the expense of going to Camp-
belltown, and back. I received her and
wrote to inform Mrs Goodlet that I had
done so. Mrs Caldwell visited, she called
my attention to the waste of bread which
has been a matter of consideration to me
during the past week, after repeatedly
speaking upon the subject I have made
an alteration in its distribution at table
which Mrs Caldwell considers will cause
a waste of time for luncheon, the Inmates
tell me that they have always been allowed
lunch. that Mrs Wait gave them from
half past ten to eleven o clock for that
purpose, and further remarked that they
could not work hard without it.
The Laundress went out this afternoon
at about three o clock.
