on business, was absent from the
Institution from 2pm to 5 oclk
Miss Mowbray kindly taking charge during
my absence. Drury cased the lock
on the Gate. Doctor Nathan called
Mr Gully held an evening service.

24th
Mrs Speer visited, a young person
called respecting the situation of teacher
and went on to Mrs Goodlet.
Mrs Peat Junr called to engage a servant, I
wrote to the Ladies' Secretary and was
requested to inform Mrs Peat that the
Ladies of the Committee do not think
it desirable that the Inmates should
take situations so near Sydney.
The Dean of Sydney held an evening service

25th
The Laundress complains of having
to take her meals with the Inmates,
I have ordered her table to be prepared
in the dining room, and one of the
young girls to wait upon her.
Mrs Cowper visited. Mary Ann Leslie
has recovered from her sickness and
commenced the needle work sent by
Mrs Crane.
