March 19th
Mrs Mills visited, Norman the
intended husband of Harriet Child called
to see her, and promises to take her away
on Monday. Mary Jane Vaughan a
poor woman whose husband is a Roman
Catholic, and treats her badly on account of
her religion, came to ask for admission.
Mrs Crane called and brought some
needlework to be done.

Sabbath 20th
Revd W. Mills held morning service
Revd Charles Creed afternoon Do
Raining very heavily all the evening

21st
Mrs Wait came here to go with Harriet
Child to see her married, Norman not
coming at the time appointed. Mrs Wait
left with the understanding that when
he did fetch Harriet they were to drive
to her residence, and she would be in
readiness to accompany them to Church
Mary Ann Leslie very ill, sent for
Dr Nathan who came immediately.

22nd
Ladies Sub Committee. Mr. Crane called
Mrs Garret called for some clothes she
had left here. She looked very respectable
and has as yet kept her pledge.
Mr John Mills held an evening service
and read the second part of "An
Improver Wanted" which the Inmates
