July 7th
Went to Mr Crane as directed by the Ladies
about Mary Jane Salmon. Ellen James
left the Institution to day to reside with her
Brother at North Shore. She has been a
very well conducted and industrious woman
M. A. Moor came to the Gate this Evening
quite intoxicated. Stating that Mr Pidgion
had been very kind and gave her some
money

Mrs Magregor visited

9th
Mr Brinaker gave an address in the Evening

10th
Several Ladies came to know the Charge
for Washing. went about a place for Mary
Sutton, but did not succeed. Mr Crane, came
in again. Takes a great interest in the
Institution

The Revd W. Mills preached in the Morning
Mr. J. Roseby - - - - - - Afternoon
No preacher - - - - - - Evening
Went to the Benevolent Asylum and back
Mary Jane Salmon admitted. The poor
Creature was very ill. thanked me for attending
to her. I fear she will not recover & quite
[indecipherable] to die we made her Case a matter of
earnest prayers at our family altar
