The Revd. W. Mills preached in the Morning

22nd
Went to the Captain of The John Williams
to Secure the Washing. Mrs Brillatt brought
a [parcel?] for Mrs Robinson. Mrs Speer and
Mrs Wise visited. went to the mid night
meeting and brought home 3 girls who had
been Inmates some years ago, but they
would not remain because I would not
give them Tobacco

23rd
Mrs Unwin of Cooks River collect to ask
if She may engage a Servant. I promised to ask
The Committee and Send her her answer
Sub Comtee 5 Ladies present. Mr. J. Mills
held a Temperance meeting in the Evening

24th
Mr Robins gave an address in the Evening

25th
Went to the Shipping office for the washing
a/c. Fanny Leatherbarrow has been very trying
to Day. The poor Creatures Brain is not
quite right. I have to act with great caution

26th
being a Good Friday Mrs J. Thompson Kindly
sent a large Supply of Buns. Dr. Nathan
visited. that Gentleman is very kind and
attentive to the Inmates
