September 22nd.
Teusday. [tuesday] Sub comt. met 4 ladies present.
we had a very interesting Temperance Meeting
conducted by Mr. J.Mills and A R Armstrong
Wednesday 23rd
The Kaikoura's 2nd lot of linen
brought in this morng. and the first
counted and taken away in two drays.
there were three officers and the Stewardess from
oclk untill [until]
Revd. G. Vidall brought a young girl Adelaide Smart aged 16 yrs
she has been next door.
Thursday 24th
All the inmates are working most
cheerfully. I often feel encouraged in this
arduous duty, seeing the majority so obedient
and industrious.
Friday 25th.
H. Hossack a faithfull [faithful] friend of our
Institution, called to say, that he hoped to
recommence his little lectures on -
Saturday nights week. He has been ill since -
22nd August (his last visit to us.)
