Monday
The messenger took Julia to the Infirmary
and left her waiting to see the Doctor.

September 1st
Teusday
Sub comt. met. 4 ladies
present . Ellen O.Brian has
been very discontented telling the
girls the place was very different in
Mrs. Bakers time &c &c - Julia was
admitted into the Infirmary yesterday.

Wednesday 2nd
I took Mary Smith and S.J Green
to their officer. S. Jane was chosen to go
to Grafton and her agreement signed.
Fanny Leatherbarrow refused to rince [rinse] the clean
linen "because her hands were so sore"

A man named 'Peart' (whose daughter was
an inmate for a short time) told me that
she is "married and doing well. at Sale, in
Gippsland, Victoria. and that he expects
her to pay her parents a visit at Xmas".
Took home Mrs. Floods (Double Bay) ship washing
