Sabbath.
Mr. J. Mills preached 11 o clk 1 Col 27,28
all the inmates very attentive.
Eliza Lane is greatly improved, has left off using bad
words, (which used to be her constant practice)
she is very attentive at all our religious services.

Monday 15th
Sent Mary Burke to the labor office in
charge of Mr. Roberts 1/4 10 o.clk. The rain was
pouring down, but she beg'd to go.
Mary engaged as general servant 9/. pr week with
Mrs. Marsden "Haslem Creek" Miss Galbraith and
M. A. Coleman took her to the Railway station 2 oclk.

Tuesday 16th
Sub com't met 4 ladies present
Mr. J. Mills and A. B. Armstrong held their
fortnightly Temperance Meeting. Most of the
inmates look forward to this meeting with delight.

Wednesday 17th
Sarah Parson was taken home this
evening by her father. she promised she would
never run away from home again. I doubt her
sincerity, for ever since she came in, she has been
boasting about her abilities in dancing, singing
playing the piano? &c &C and about fine
clothes
