Mr. C. Tilly gave an address 11 oclk and
Rev'd K Piddington 3oclk.
Mr. J Catley in the evening.
Rev'd Piddington said he was highly pleased ^[sup]with[sup] the good conduct of all the inmates and astonished to hear
them sing so well.

Monday 8th
A Police man brought a very dirty
woman here this morn'g, he said she had been
sleeping out, and [sup]^had[sup] no home, he "thought her
rather soft and needed someone to look after her."
I told him I could not take one of [underlined]that[underlined] character in without permission from the ladies com't that
he had better lock her up for protection untill [until]
tomorrow 3oclk, he could then see the com't.
