Tuesday.
Sub com't met 4 ladies present.
Miss Aitken visited us by invitation
from Rev'd W. Mills and walked round
the institution with Mrs. Goodlet.

Wednesday 20th
Paper bag making comes in nicely as
pastime in the evenings. we received
4/6 for them and a present of 1lb lollies because
they had filled the little bags without taking any lollies.

Thursday 21st
W.J. Foster Esq'r Barrister at law came with
his wife this morn'g to see the girl I wrote
to them about) by Mrs. Goodlet's request & they have
engaged her 10/. pr. week. Mrs. Foster will take
her home tomorrow afternoon.
Mrs. Wise brought two ladies to see Mary Ann Colman
with a view to engage her as nurse, and said she would
write to Mrs. Goodlet about her. M. Ann is a very likely girl
for a nurse, she is so kind & good tempered, and can sing so many nice hymns
Jane Brownlee, Annie Miller & Louisa Corrigan sat up
untill [until] 2oclk morn finishing Maries outfit, and right well
they worked. everything was ready by the time wanted.
