March 1st.
Sabbath. Dr. Charles was expected this morng.
but as he did not come the matron
had a Bible class, all the inmates attended
except Bridget (our invalid)
All very quiet and orderly.

Monday 2nd.
We hope to hear that the Panama
Steamer has arrived as we are quite ready for the washing.

Teusday, [tuesday] 3rd
The S.S. "Rakaia" washing came in
this morng. Sub Comt met
5 ladies present

Wednesday 4th.
Wrote to Messrs Russel requesting
them to send to repair our stove.

Thursday 5th.
Dr. Nathan called, gives better hopes of
Bridgets legs today. Mrs Talbot came to
see. Elizth Logan. and was highly pleased to hear
that she continued to conduct herself so well.
The Refuge would be a happy home if all the
inmates behaved like her.
