1868. [underscored]

Feby, 22nd
Saturday.
Sent four bedsteads to be repaired. The imates clothes are
wearing out fast - requiring contrivance and
patching to get them at all decent for the
coming sabbath, but we hope soon to have a
fresh supply.

Sabbath 23rd
Rev'd W. Mills preached 11 oclk.
Rev'd H. Gaud was expected, his name being
on the Wesleyan "plan" for this afternoon, but
he did not come, nor send anyone in his sted.

Monday 24th
General Com't of gentlemen
met 5 oclk this eve'g, 6 present.
I asked the Sect (Rev'd Thos Smith if he would
propose to com't to appoint a deputy to call at
Goverment [government] House to ask if the Countess of Belmore would come to see us.

Teusday [tuesday] 25th
Sub Com't meet. 6 ladies present, they
decided to send M. A. Green to the Asylum as
the Doctor said she was near her Confinement.
She was accordingly taken there, and duly admitted.
poor Bridget McCann is quite laid up with her leg.

Wednesday 26th
Ann Fletcher has been unusually
idle and careless since her return and made
her escape this eve'g - her "Mother is passionate
and unkind" used to be her excuse
for all her faults, though its plain that
Ann is very wicked. I have less hope of her now
than before.
