Feb'y 12th Wednesday.
Went, by request of the ladies
to Mrs. Capps to ask her to tell Mrs. Morton (the lady
that engaged M. A. Ward for Rev'd Priddle that she
had been an imate of the Refuge" Mrs Capps
said she woud send a message to Mrs Morton, and
let me know in the eve'g. Mrs. C told
Miss Galbraith that Mrs. Morton would venture
M. A. Ward. she is to have 10/ pr week, and go
tomorrow. Sent to request Mr Winter to repair the
bedsteads.

Thursday 15th
Received the mixture for cleansing
the beds, but the walls need painting, or colouring.

Mr Roberts took M. A Ward to R. Station, paid
her fare (3/9) and saw her off. poor girl, she
was so exited [excited] and nervous at the thoughts of
leaving us to go amongst strangers that
I felt afraid of letting her go alone in the train.

Friday 14th
[underlined]Such[end underlined] a wet day, no drying!
H. Tabman brought a note from Mrs. Goodlet
requesting her admission. she is in a deplorable
state, her nose and legs so sore through
exposure to the weather & drinking.

Satuarday 15th
We have piles of washed clothes
and [underlined] no where [end underlined] to dry them & the rain pouring down in torrents. I do hope we may have a drying room before our next winter. The girls
temper is seriously tried when they
she [see] their labor lost and their work
to do over again.
