wrote by their instructions to
Mrs. Keys accepting her terms for the
Royal Hotel washing. wrot [wrote] also
to Mrs. Egar - but as I went myself & had
an interview with her (when she paid her
a/c) I did not deliver the note.

Saturday 2nd
Wrote a note to Lady Young and sent
home her sewing. wrote to
Mrs. White Bombala, stating we had not a
general servant suitable for her at present.
Gave our new messenger a note introducing her to
Mrs. Keys and gave her instructions to be at the
Royal Hotel by 10 oclk monday morn'g to fetch the
clothes. Mrs. Talbot mentioned yesterday that she
had received a letter from Charlotte Fitzmorrice from
New Zealand, (she is one of the two girls Mrs. Talbot
brought to the Refuge from the Infirmary in
June last. in the letter she sends her respects
to Eliz'th Logan, and begs of her to improve her religious
priviliges [privileges] in the Refuge. says she never will
forget good Mr. Roberts's reading and explaining
the Bible. Went to Panama Office and received
£39.19.9 for last months washing which I left with
our Treasurer on my way home.
Mr. Aspinall went home Mr Roberts being too ill to allow
Mrs Roberts to go to Melbourne today.
