Wednesday 23rd
Sent Rommy Kilpatrick to Mrs. Pausey
in charge of Mr. J. Roberts, and she is
engaged to Dr. Sparke as nurse and needlewoman
& to get up fine linen" 7/p week for 12 months.

Lady Young called, [sup]to[end sup] pay for a price of calico
which I had purchased for her. she enquired how
I was getting on with the inmates? I told her, very well,
with the exeption [exception] of one girl, who had refused to obey
orders, demanding to go out, although she owned
she had no where to go, but to sin! her ladyship asked
"where is she I'll see her and talk to her.

Thursday 24th
Had to take Fanny L to the Infirmary
but the Dr not having come, I left
her in the waiting room, after having chang'd
her "Order", and went to Dawson & Egar's to
purchase calico & print &c for the four girls
who are to get outfits. afterwards went to see
if Fanny was admitted, and found she was.
Received a note from Mrs Dr. Sharpe appointing Saturday
for Rommy to go to her situation.

Friday 25th
Purchased 36/- worth of Embroidery
for Lady Young.

Saturday 26th
The "Ruahine", washing all taken
away this morn'g. it looked beautiful.
The girls seem to manage it better and
with less trouble.
Charlotte Lindow brought in note from Mrs Smith.
