October 18th
Friday
Sent a note asking Dr. Nathan to call
Friday, as several of the inmates were ailing.
The Doctor came this eve'g, has given
Fanny Leatherbarrow an order to go to the
Infirmary for Syphilis.

Saturday 19th
All the inmates are quiet and
industrious. I hope they will continue so.
After service conducted by Mr. H. Hassack three of
the girls made their escape, Louisa Potter, Sopha Collis and
Mary Ann O'Brian.

Sabbath 20th
Mr. Mills sent Mr Tilley to preach
in his stead this morn'g.
Mr Fletcher came 3 clk and Mr. Curtis in
the eve'g. all the inmates clean and
orderly.

Monday 21st
I am greatly puzzled to know what
to do with Kate McMahon. The girl that
called herself Kates Sister has adopted a new
plan of communication, (since she failed to see
her by telling falsehoods) she walks about the
gate in the eve'g, call'g out "Kate come out &c &c",

Teusday [tuesday] 22nd
Sub Com't gave permission to
purchase outfits for Mary Fitzimmons
Marg't Mackormack, M Jane Jackson, and
Harriet Penketh has to wait the disition [decision] of the
general Com't
