Sabbath
Mr. Moses addressed the inmates
11 oclk. Revd W. Robson 3 oclk. and
Mr.
T. Curtis in the eveg. All the inmates in
attendance in number 45. very clean
and orderly but we need more than that, for
the most perfect system of worldly order, will not
save one soul.

Monday
2nd
Ann Dudge is exeedingly [exceedingly] troublsome
wont attend went the bell rings but has to
be sent for to almost every meal. her
favorite hiding place is the coal shed.

Teusday [tuesday]
3rd
Jane Brownless continues well behaved
and industrious, very attentive at
prayers and I find she is often trying to
persuade the girls to be good. How different the
Refuge would be if all were like her.

Wednesday
4th
The young girls have have been
employed in the garden.
Mrs. D.J. Jones very kindly sent a quantity of wooln [woolen]
pieces for patch work. by which I shall be
able to employ several, untill until] the washing
comes in.
