Tuesday
The inmates continue to enjoy
good health. very seldom require the
Doctor. A dose of brimstone & treacle
castor oil or salts being all thats required with
the free use of the cold bath.

J. Pickering has again elapsed into
her naughty wicked ways again [word crossed out] and
talks to her fellow inmates about "bolting" &c such
a discontented disposition tends to mischief and is often
infectious. but remonstrance, advice, and
cautions are alike thrown away upon her
hitherto. she is a Romanist.

Friday
23rd
Deborah Hardcastle sent a letter
she seems happy and settled in her
situation, and is anxious about her
aged Mother -
