Several of those who were laid up
with feverish cold and cough are a
little better this morn'g much to our surprise
and comfort, as the weather continues wet &
boisterous.
Sent Eliz'th Cooper in charge of Miss G. to try for a situation
at Mrs Capps, she was told to call tomorrow.

Thursday 22nd
Eliz'th Cooper was taken again to Capp's
and engaged to a Mrs. Brown. Birch Creek
Conambra
9/ pr week for 12 months.

Friday 23rd
Matron took Eliz'th Cooper (with her
box of clothes) in the tram 9oclk but as
Mrs. Brown had not come, Eliz'th was left
in charge of Mrs Capps.
If Eliz'th goes astray again, it will not be
through ignorance, for she has had "line upon
line and pricept upon pricept" she has
[underlined] promised [end underlined] to read her bible, attend a plan of
worship as regular as she can - and to pray.
she has [underlined] signed [end underlined] the Temperance pledge too.
