June 15th
Thursday
Rev'd Thos Smith kindly lent his
magic Lantern with which the
inmates were highly pleased.
There are no less than 9 inmates suffering
from severe colds - the wet weather is against
them.

Friday 16th
There are 10 girls, ill of the epedemic

Received three letters one each from
Ellen Wright, Carry Cassels and Martha Walker

Saturday 17th
Had to write for Dr. Nathan. afterwards
went to get paid for the Kaikowna washing £23.19.5
Dr. Nathan came after dark, and prescribed
"The same for all". The Dr. said he was nearly run
off his legs, that after he got home long, he would have to
hire a cab and go to Double Bay, &c-

Sabbath 18th
No minutes in the morn'g.
Mr. preached in the afternoon
the attendance very small, owing to many
being too ill to come-

Monday 19th
We are getting the town washing forward
in order to be in readiness to receive the
next mail washing, but we have a great many
invalids, seven of them not able to leave their beds.

Tuesday 20th
Our sick ones are very little better.
The rain pouring down in torrents our court
yard flooded. the clothes washed yesterday all wet.
