Sent Carry Cassels with a note to
Mrs Capp's Labor office, she was engaged
at once to go to Miss Brook 8/- per work for
12 months

she went by steamer 11 oclk

Sabbath 15th
Mr. M. Mills preached 11oclk, Mr. Button at
3oclk & Mr. McCoy 7 in the eve'g 4 of the
inmates are suffering from diarhia [diarrhea]
gave them rice - & arrowroot & milk.
Eliz'th Hoffy is too idle to work on week days and
yet wants to lounge about on the Sabbath. she is also
filthy in her habits, quite a nussance [nuisance] in the bedroom.
Received a letter from "Sister Magdline [Magdaline?] "respecting
Monday 16th E Hoffy's enquiry, and stating that they
have no child in the Orphanage, of that age or
name, there seems to be some mystery about
it.

Tuesday 17th
Cath'n Lee has a very sore leg.
the Dr. has given her a mixture and salve
