1866
April 6th
Friday, Ladies General Comm'e.

Saturday 7th
Catherine Lee has improved
in her general conduct - and we
trust her case is one of genuine
reformation, instead of loud boisterous
talking and quarrelling she is gentle and obliging to
her fellow inmates, industrious, and
respectfull [respectful] [sup] to [end sup] those above her. The mangling
is done beautifully and the M room and the
little garden adjoining is a pattern of
neatness. She has learnt several temperance
songs and delights in singing them.

Wednesday 11th
Sarah Bates's Grandfather brought a note from
Rev'd Stevens stating that [underlined] he [end underlined] was her rightfull [rightful] guardian, she was therefore allowed to go with him wrote to the Orphanage (Roman C.) Parramatta
to enquire bout E Hoffy's child.
