Saturday 3rd Eliz'th Riley after being kindly treated here
said she had the - - she was taken to
the Infirmary. after getting cured there, she
came to the Refuge in a "Hansom Cab' with two
others like herself. She came for the clothes clothes she had
left here. Today's paper says she is imprisoned
14 days "for fighting, and being a common prostitute wandering about the street". The Matron has had
more sorrow and trouble with her, than any other
girl, many a time has she wept because of her
vile, contaminating conversation and manners,
and believes that she made Christina much worse
telling (as she used to do) about what she earned &c by her debauchery outside. she has, however
been faithfully warned,

There has been three sent to service last month, and we have three more, who have remained the
given time, and are anxious to get situations.

This has been a busy week - They have worked
hard - the Matron is also very tired and
weary, pain in her back. obliged to retire at 6 oclk
Mr Roberts conducted the evening service.
