November 17th. Friday.
Marg. Burrows has given us great trouble
she stole a pair of drawers belonging to a fellow inmate
and in order to disguise them, she wantonly tore
off the insertion, and then said they were her own.

Saturday 18th.
we have again been grieved by M. Burrows's
pilfering habits. she took a good linen pocket
hkf. off the line and kept it 4 days. whilst we were
searching high and low for the same. she at last offered
it to Eliz'th Smith, and she honestly gave it up.

Sabbath 19th.
Mr Roberts addressd the inmates 11 o clk.
Mr. McCoy 3 o clk. and Mr. Button 7 in the eveng.
Miss Barker spent the afternoon with us. sat and talked
with the inmates after the service and promised to
come again before she leaves for England.

Monday 20th.
Received a note from the Dean of Sydney, recommending
Mary Ann Peart, she was allowed to remain, until the
comt. meet tomorrow.

Teusday 21st.
Miss Barker brought a present of 36 Hymn
Books and staid also to address the girls last
eveg. Dr Nathan gave an order for
Kate Kelly to go to the Infirmary. She is only 16 years
old, and she has syphulus. in the second stage.
she has been a naughty girl, by whose means Clara Ferris
was led into the paths of sin and shame. Clara's Mother
is heart broken about her.
